HOMEWORK FOR TUESDAY THE 28TH
Please read p 149-153 take notes on vocabulary and add'l characteristics.
Due Friday March 2 will be your Lap book work
Level A: Make sure you have a Title page with Lesson 9 - Mollusks and pictures or drawings. Have pictures of the following animals: a Bivalve of your choice, with 4-6 characteristics; a Sea Snail, a Conch, an Abalone, and a Nudibranch.
Level B: Find 2 different pictures of Bivalves, a Sea Snail, a Conch, a Cone Shell, a Limpet, an Abalone, and a Nudibranch. Make sure you have a real animal picture not just a shell. List 4-6 characteristic per animal.
Both Level A & B, any additional drawings will earn 2pts per animal. Have great break! Ya' mon!

HOMEWORK FOR FRIDAY THE 17TH
Although I didn't think the test was any harder than usual, the range of grades was lower. So I have offered the kids to retake the test, open book and return it by Friday. I expect all correct answers. I will give 1/2 the points missed on the 1st test, so someone who had a 60 can earn 20pts, someone who got a 90 can earn 5pts.
Please complete the crossword and read and take notes on p.145-148. You may choose not to do the test, but the crossword and reading are not optional.

HOMEWORK FOR FRIDAY THE 10TH
Study for our Lesson test on Crustaceans. I will include an anatomy sheet, so be prepared to fill in parts. Study your homework sheets. Use the crossword puzzle to help study your vocabulary words. Remember that I always include facts about the animals that go beyond just the bold words. Be familiar with the characteristics of the animals. Call if you have questions.
The Science Fair will be May 4th. I'll provide a rubric after our winter break. Keep in mind you will need a hypothesis you can test. I'll review the choices you've given me and provide a website with more ideas in case you need them.

your completed lap books with crab pictures and characteristics - each lesson always starts with a title page, the crossword, and 2 anatomy sheets, and your crab story. Some of you have given me some assignments already, thank you. You can start working on your ocean box creature, pick any animal from this lesson. This is due by Tues the 7th and you can email me a picture.
Please p131 Creation Confirmation to p134 stopping at Shrimp like crustaceans. This should take one hour. Take notes - I only count 3 vocabulary words.
Also research more in depth about the Christmas Island crabs. Level A needs to write 1/2 to 1 full page, Level B 1-1 1/2 pages. Also attach your research, what you actually read, not just the website. Be mindful of plagiarism. If you must copy, be sure to use quotation marks.
