Please read p190-194 stopping at Coral. You need to take notes about Floating Boxes, Floating Friends, Portuguese man-o'-war, sea anemones/anthozoa with lots of characteristics, boxer crab and budding.
Those of you who want EXTRA CREDIT can do the starfish project with yarn and salt water p184. You can have until next Tuesday to complete it IF you take a picture of it on Thursday and send it to me.
YOU SHOULD AT LEAST PURCHASE YOUR TRI-FOLD BOARD AND PLAN YOUR LAYOUT. The science fair is May 8th, and you will present to our class on May 8th. You have 3 weeks to finish your write up and make your board.
A preliminary plan for the rest of the year is as follows: finish Lesson 12 reading by 4-24. Review 4-27, Test 5-1. Movie 5-4 (I will be absent and need a sub). The science fair is after school on the 8th. May 11th start Lesson 13 . Lesson 13 reading May 15th and 18th, review on May 22 and Test May 25. Lapbooks need to be worked in the schedule as well as Ocean Box presentations, so I make need to make adjustments.
