Please finish reading the lesson and take notes on each section or vocabulary word. I apologize for forgetting to mention making your Ocean Box creature for the last lesson; choose from Lesson 11 either a Sea Star, a Basket Star, a Feather Star, a Sea Urchin, a Sand Dollar, or a Sea Cucumber. Please try to get the small details of the stars or urchins. If you want to work on your creature for lesson 12 as well, choose a jellyfish, Sea Anemone or Coral
I had a request to lessen the work load to give you more time to spend on your Science Fair project. So as a compromise, I will cancel the Test for Lesson 12, and make the Lapbook due May 1st instead. It will be more detailed.
I would like Level A & B: 3 large pictures of Jellies, 3 Sea Anemones, and 3 Corals, all different varieties. List 4-5 characteristics for each animals + one cool fact you find on your own, not from the book. Level B also research a Coral Reef, NOT the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Write 4-5 sentences about it. Also for Level A & B, draw or find a picture of nematocysts and label the parts like p186 in our book, (please do not make a copy) and draw or find a picture of a boxer crab with sea anemones and explain in 3-4 sentences what their symbiotic relationship is.
