We will have our Lesson 3 test on Friday. Please study.
Anyone still wanting the extra credit must turn in the Science Spec Sheet on Friday.
J.T., Connor, Jacob and Matthew will need to bring their ocean box or tri-fold board presentation on Friday.
As a good review please spend 15 min doing another T-chart comparing/contrasting manatees and dugongs with the information in the book. You do not need to do additional research.
Your lapbooks are due Friday for grading. They should include the 4 or 8 pinnipeds you researched and which I returned today; a T-chart of True Seals vs Eared Seals; a T-chart of Manatees vs Dugongs. You should also have 3 pictures: one True Seal one Eared Seal and one Walrus. Any Manatee/Dugong pictures will earn you additional pts. If you have pictures with your 4-8 pinnipeds you do not need more.
For next Tues 11-1-11
At the end of Lesson 3 p 51 is an assignment For Older Students writing an essay about interaction between humans and manatees. Level A please write 1/2 page (typed) and Level B 1 full page. At least start researching some websites. We can discuss this more in class Friday, or parents call if you have questions.
